The Accessible Beach Programme

The "Accessible Beach — Beach for All" programme, managed by the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ), annually awards the "Accessible Beach" accolade to beaches meeting specific accessibility criteria, including boardwalks, amphibious wheelchairs, adapted toilets and reserved parking.
