About this beach
Barra Beach is one of the largest beaches on the Silver Coast in Ílhavo (Aveiro), famous for Portugal's tallest lighthouse (62m) dominating the entrance to the Ria de Aveiro lagoon. With vast sands, good waves and a Blue Flag, it attracts surfers and families. The Ria de Aveiro with its traditional moliceiro boats is right next door. Near São Jacinto Beach.
