Mosteiros Beach is one of the most spectacular beaches in the Azores, on the western coast of São Miguel in Ponta Delgada, famous for its black basalt rock formations emerging from the sea in fantastic shapes like pillars and arches. Sunset here is considered one of Portugal's most beautiful. The fishing village retains its authentic Azorean charm. Near Água de Alto Beach.
