Porto Santo Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Macaronesia: nine kilometres of therapeutic golden sand with unique mineral properties said to relieve rheumatic and joint pain. The small island of Porto Santo, discovered by Zarco in 1418, was the first home of Christopher Columbus before his voyages to the New World. A true paradise of tranquillity. Near Calheta Beach.
