About this beach

Amado Beach is one of the most prestigious surf spots on the Vicentine Coast, located in the municipality of Aljezur within the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park. Around 550 metres of golden sand of excellent quality, set between dunes and a schist cliff, hosts national and international surf competitions annually. Beyond surfing and bodyboarding, the beach attracts families drawn by its clean waters and wild scenery. It has full beach support services, a surf school and the Blue Flag.
