Bemposta River Beach is located on the shore of the Bemposta Dam reservoir, on the Douro River, in the municipality of Mogadouro, within the Douro Internacional Natural Park. With fine sand, calm and clear waters in a typical Transmontano schist landscape, it is a summer retreat surrounded by wild scenery of great beauty. The Bemposta dam, one of the first on the Douro Internacional, creates a calm water surface ideal for swimming and water sports.
