About this beach
Escaroupim River Beach sits on the bank of the Tagus river, in the parish of Escaroupim, Salvaterra de Magos municipality, Santarém district, in the Beiras. It is one of the most popular river beaches in the Ribatejo and throughout central Portugal, with an extensive stretch of golden sand beside a serene Tagus reach, surrounded by riparian nature and agricultural fields. The calm waters and wide green spaces make it particularly appreciated by families and young visitors. It holds the Blue Flag and provides full beach services throughout the summer.
