Mira Beach stretches for more than 3 kilometres of fine golden sand on the Costa de Prata, on the Atlantic edge of the Mira municipality in the Coimbra district. With vigorous ocean waters and an extensive sandy strip bordered by pine trees, it is popular with surfers and camping holidaymakers, thanks to the campsite right next to the beach. It holds the Blue Flag and offers full beach support services in the summer season. The nearby Mira lagoon provides a calm-water alternative for families with young children.
