About this beach
The Biscoitos Natural Pools, on the north coast of Terceira Island, are a labyrinth of saltwater tanks carved into the black lava by the eruptions that gave the area its name. Surrounded by classified vineyards and the wild Atlantic, they are one of the most spectacular and popular volcanic bathing complexes in the Azores.
