About this beach
Pópulo Beach, east of Ponta Delgada, is a long dark-sand beach dotted with rocky outcrops and tide pools. Popular with surfers and families alike, it has a pleasant seafront promenade and is one of the most accessible beaches on São Miguel's south coast.
