About this beach
Areinho Beach is a transitional bathing spot on the Aveiro lagoon shore in Ovar (Torrão do Lameiro / Furadouro area), beside the EN 327. It has a small fine-sand beach and calm waters, monitored as bathing water (APA code PTCT2C).
In season there is a bar over the lagoon, a restaurant to the south and a pier for pedal-boat/canoe hire, per Ovar City Council and VisitPortugal. Not to be confused with Furadouro’s ocean front.
