Praia Fluvial de Amieira sits on the shores of the Alqueva reservoir in Portel, in the Alentejo region, and is one of the most complete nautical tourism destinations on Europe's largest artificial lake. With an extensive beach of around 600 metres, of which 150 metres are supervised, it offers a bar, restaurant, first-aid post, changing rooms, showers, motorhome parking and adapted access. The nearby Amieira Marina is Alqueva's main houseboat rental port, giving this destination a unique identity in Portuguese river tourism.
