Praia Fluvial de Bitetos is located in Alpendorada, Várzea e Torrão, in the municipality of Marco de Canaveses, on the banks of the Douro river. Set in the Douro Demarcated Region, the beach offers a unique context of terraced vineyards and schist stone, with the calm reservoir waters inviting swimming and nautical sports such as canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding and water skiing. Facilities include a car park, toilets, showers, a support bar and recycling points. The Accessible Beach classification (2011) guarantees ramps and two lifeguards during the bathing season, making it one of the most complete river destinations in the Porto region.
