Praia Fluvial do Alqueirão is located on Albufeira da Caniçada, next to the village of Rio Caldo, in the municipality of Terras de Bouro, within Parque Nacional da Peneda-Gerês. Surrounded by mountains and dense vegetation, it is one of the most awarded bathing areas in the region, having repeatedly received the Quercus Praia Dourada award, including in recent years. One of the most popular starting points for exploring the reservoir by kayak or boat.
