Praia Fluvial do Gameiro is a river beach in the Ecological Park of Gameiro, next to the village of Cabeção, in the municipality of Mora, Évora district, in Portugal's inland Alentejo region. Formed by a small weir (açude) on the Rio Raia, it is one of the few freshwater bathing spots in interior Alentejo that isn't part of the vast Alqueva reservoir, which gives it a more intimate, tree-shaded character rather than the open expanse of a big lake.
A few minutes from the town of Mora, just off the EN2 national road and next to the Fluviário de Mora aquarium, the beach is threaded by a roughly 1.5-kilometre wooden boardwalk through the ecological park, popular for spotting riverside birdlife among the poplars, willows, and cork oaks. The riverbed is mostly pebble and coarse river gravel (locally called godo), with one patch of finer sand near the water's edge, and the water held back by the weir stays calm enough for family swimming. Nearby amenities include a campsite, a children's playground, picnic tables, and a café with a terrace, plus canoe rental and licensed fishing. Leashed dogs are welcome.
