About this beach

Ofir Beach stretches approximately 3 kilometres of white fine sand at the mouth of the Cávado river, in the municipality of Esposende on the Costa Verde. Sheltered by the Local Natural Reserve of the Ofir Dunes and framed by dense pine woods, it is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Minho region, with clean Atlantic waters and an extensive dune system harbouring rare flora. Popular with families and surfers, it holds the Blue Flag and provides full beach services, including access for visitors with reduced mobility.
