About this beach
Barra da Fuseta Beach (also Barra Nova) is at the eastern tip of Armona Island, Olhão, in Ria Formosa Natural Park. It is distinct from Fuseta / Ilha da Fuseta Beach, about 1.5–2 km further east, on an open sand spit without a strong dune system.
Access is by boat only from Fuseta (ferry then walk, or water taxi). It is a quiet maritime beach with few facilities.
