About this beach

Sesimbra Beach is one of the most picturesque on the Costa de Lisboa, sheltered in a calm bay of translucent water beside the medieval village of Sesimbra, in the Setúbal district. Around 1,500 metres of fine golden sand with excellent water quality make it ideal for families and snorkelling, thanks to the marine richness of the waters protected by the Espichel Natural Reserve. The Moorish castle perched on the cliff frames the beach with a unique historic silhouette. It holds the Blue Flag and provides full beach services throughout the bathing season.
