Praia Fluvial de Piódão forms at a small dam on the Ribeira de Piódão, right in the centre of the famous schist village, in the municipality of Arganil. Surrounded by trees and the village’s characteristic dark schist houses, it is a natural complement to a visit to one of Portugal’s most photographed historic villages, in the Serra do Açor. It has a picnic area, showers, toilets and parking nearby.
