About this beach
Praia da Aguda is a roughly 500-metre wild beach on the Sintra coast, between Azenhas do Mar and Magoito, flanked by near-vertical, unstable cliffs. Access, historically via a roughly 230-step staircase, was restricted by local authorities in 2021 due to rockfall risk. It has no facilities or lifeguard, and is informally recognised by the Portuguese Naturist Federation as a naturist beach, though actual nudist use is limited given the difficult access.
