About this beach
Praia das Moitas (also known as Praia da Rata) is a small triangular strip of sand on the seafront promenade between Cascais and Estoril, directly in front of Hotel Cascais Miragem, a short walk from Monte Estoril station. A stone jetty and rock outcrops shelter the cove, keeping the sea unusually calm, with a tidal pool nearby. It lost the Blue Flag in 2026, along with neighbouring Tamariz and Poça.
